Our Purpose

To create unique handcrafted products and experiences to help you celebrate the young ones in your life.

To support that mission we are continually working on new product designs. We continue to work on making our materials and processes more sustainable and locally sourced. And we do place great importance in prioritizing our family knowing that love will come through in our products and customer service.

A Brief History

Two years ago our family launched a store called The Baby Habit. We've had great fun running that online in addition to the local storefront in our historic downtown, but finally came to the conclusion that it's not a good fit for our family at this stage, especially with 1 and 2 year old boys. So May 1st 2010 we sold that business and have relaunched with a clear focus on making our own products in a better environment for our kids.

"Baby Vardo"

Our name comes from something special that we're still working on. You see, a 'vardo' is the term for a traveling wagon from the gypsy culture. And we're building one!

This mobile store will allow us to work from home with our kids, yet be able to move from city to city to visit craft fairs and other locations we'd be welcome to share our handcrafted goods. Stay tuned to our site as we crank up our blog and share the process of building our new store with you.
